The set list below is an inference based on the set list of concerts later on in the 1982 See You Tour. It may be that the first few concerts with Alan Wilder in January 1982 were shorter concerts like 1982-02-10 BBC Paris Studio, London, England, UK. It is also questionable whether The Meaning Of Love was performed this early.

This was the first concert of the 1982 See Y ou T our , and the first show with Alan Wilder in the line-up. The setlist is our best guess based on most other gigs later on in the 1982 See You Tour .
Andy Fletcher said to Stephen Dalton in 2001:
"Even when you make a lot of mistakes and think you've been terrible, they don't seem to care. They don't come up and say , 'Great gig' any more either . The music aspect has gone. At Crocs they didn't even clap for us to come back; [they] just stood and waited. All they want to do is watch you. We've become an event."

Jonathan Miller cites a review from the 'Bionic 'Barney's' Bumper Fun-Book' in his 'Stripped biography:
"Eventually Crocs was absolutely packed with people wanting to see Depeche Mode with their new member . The audience was surprisingly varied, ranging from the very normal to the very punk to the near naked! By the time that Depeche Mode came on at 1 1:30 everybody had almost forgotten they had come to see a band, and so they were given a lukewarm reception. The songs were played as well as ever , but the band did not look too happy or enthusiastic. The music had everybody dancing, but nobody seemed very bothered about an encore. All in all, the music was very good, but the atmosphere wasn't. The Basildon concert at Raquel's was far better ."

Wilder commented in response to being asked if he felt nervous when he appeared on-stage with Depeche Mode for the first time in an interview for Bong magazine:
"Not extremely , but it was mayhem at Crocs." [1]
