INFORMATION SHEET NO. 9/83
I have enclosed the requested items/information which I hope are satisfactory.
Please do not hesitate to write back to me if there is anything about
DEPECHE MODE that you would like to know and I will do my best to answer your
questions. Please send a stamped, self addressed envelope to the address below
quoting the number 10/83 at the end of September for Information Sheet No.
10/83.
DEPECHE MODE NEWS The band and myself had a smashing two weeks holiday; Alan
ended up on Lanzarote in the Canary Islands with Dave and
I, Martin went to Germany and Scotland whilst Andy stayed
at home, although he did venture up to Clacton one Day!
Although the boys had to forsake three days tanning when
their appearance on Top of the Pops came up it was well
worth it when much to everyone's delight 'Everything
Counts' went up tp number 6 in the charts. Thanks to
everyone who bought it!
I would like to express my apologies at the delay some
people had to wait for their P16 photographs. The printers
took much longer than anticipated and DEPECHE MODE were so
busy rehersing for the tour that it was ages before they
could get round to autographing them. Once again I'm sorry.
RECORD NEWS Following the huge success of 'Everything Counts' DEPECHE
MODE are releasing 'Love In Itself' written by Martin c/w
'Fools' by Alan in the first week of October. It is a
re-mixed version to that which is on the new album
'Construction Time Again' and 'Fools' is a totally new
track. There will also be a 12" version with exteded
recordings of 'Love, In Itself' and 'Fools' and another
totally different version of the A side.
TOUR NEWS Matt Fretton will be the support act on all the following
concerts which are all fully confirmed and tickets are now
available only at the box offices (NOT FROM ME) prices
�4/�3.50 everywhere except Dublin �6.50 Belfast �5 Glasgow
�4 London �4/�4.50.
There will be official tour merchandise on sale inside the
venue T-Shirts Scarves Posters Programmes Badges and Vests
will be amongst the items available all at very reasonable
prices.
