Hello Everybody!
Spring is finally here, and we hope you are all fit, healthy and ready for some action!
Welcome to this year’s second issue of the Depeche Mode News Letter.
RECORDING NEWS
“DEPECHE MODE” returned to London on March 17th after recording in Paris for 6 weeks.
They then returned to Paris on Sat 4 and Sun 5 April to record the Video for the new single, and they finished filming on Mon 6 April in a London Studio. The video was directed by Anton Corbijn.
On May 7th they will resume recording, in a London studio for about 7 weeks. After this they will go to Denmark for about 5 weeks, to do the final mix for their new album. Meanwhile they will all have a short break whilst Martin writes some more songs.
TOUR NEWS!
The new album will be released at the end of September, and then Depeche Mode will start their World Tour in mid October most likely starting in Spain.
This will mark the first visit to Spain since 1983 and the first ever with their complete stage production!
The tour dates are not confirmed yet, but we should be able to give you more details in the next news letter. (So start saving your money!)
There is still no definite release date for the Double Boxed Album Set. We should definitely have the date for you in the next news letter.
IT’S COMPETITION TIME!

[1] - There are a few others....Fletch was known as "Bog Roll" in the Boy's Brigade for hiding in the loo during activities he didn't want to do (Flush may be from the same era!). He's since become known in the band as "The General" for his "good natured bossiness". Dave is keeping quiet about "Caj" because of his killer impressions of a rockstar drink and drugs "casualty", and "Crisp" when he was at school, which was a pretty fair description of how he styled his hair. And his staple diet.
