Brief announcement on the departure of Alan Wilder.

Dear Fan Club member
We are very sorry to have to inform you that Alan has decided to leave the Band, after over thirteen years. Some of you may have already heard rumours to this effect. Mute Records are expected to issue a press release very soon. [1]
The band have no plans to replace Alan, and Martin is currently writing new material. We just want to assure all of you that Martin, Dave and Fletch intend to continue as Depeche Mode.
