[1] - Fletch was in fact born in Nottingham.
[2] - This is the only place I have ever seen Fletch mention The Blood: Jonathan Miller's 2003 biography Stripped, citing an early Information Service newsletter, claims the band's existence but goes on to quote Vince Clarke as saying "...knowing him [Andy], it was probably more a figment of his imagination! He probably had a concept, but I'm not sure if The Blood ever performed; I'm not sure who was in it, apart from himself!" (p. 22). Miller then adds that Andy has been reticent on the subject ever since.
[3] - An unreleased track, strictly speaking not their own record as it was not written by Depeche Mode, which was nonetheless performed a fair bit live in 1980 / 81. It is thus only available on bootleg of which at least two different performances exist (both of mediocre quality). For more information on unreleased tracks from the same era, you might find this article in Bong 24 helpful.
