Depeche Mode's Martin Gore to Sell Synths and More for Charity on Reverb
Published Sep 19, 2019 by Reverb
Count yourself as a new wave devotee? Then count yourself lucky, because Martin Gore of Depeche Mode is coming to Reverb and setting up shop for a good cause.
The musician, producer, and songwriter will be selling dozens of synths, drum machines, effects, and more from his personal collection in The Official Martin Gore of Depeche Mode Reverb Shop, which will open September 26.
100% of shop proceeds will go to Notes for Notes, a non-profit organization that designs, outfits, and operates recording spaces in Boys & Girls Clubs across the country.
Being a noted figure of the electronic pantheon, Gore has plenty of hardware to please the most discerning palette, with many of the pieces personally signed. Just a few of the highlights include the fabled rack synth crossover Studio Electronics MidiMoog, a pristine Dave Smith Instruments Prophet 12, and a rare, cool Roland TR-727 Latin Drum Machine.
Also available in Gore's shop is a Juno 2 synth—a digital-analog hybrid entrant to Roland's renowned Juno synth line—and an EHX Bi-Filter rack unit with two multi-mode filters, which can be run in parallel or in series for a range of sweeps or filter effects.
Check the gallery above for a sneak peek at these and other items. Sign up with your email address to be notified as soon as The Official Martin Gore of Depeche Mode Reverb Shop launches on September 26.
