Comments: Bennett McElwee

Halo (Comfortable mix)
The Bogus Brothers mix. The recording on the Second Strike was so bad that they included a better version here. Naturally, they renamed it to make the CD more appealing. The sound quality is much better--I bet they just copied this from URT3, because the quality is similar.

World In My Eyes (Bogus Brothers' dub)
A good mix, with bits 'n' pieces of the official remixes together with new percussion bits and sounds. Definitely a dance mix, but really interesting to listen to as well. This is one of my favourite mixes of WIME.

Fools (unreleased version)
This has always been one of my favourite DM songs, and this version is a pretty good one. The xylophone riff is different, and there are a few other differences from the regular version. This sounds like an early mix of the single version. It sounds as if it has been mastered from vinyl, so either there's a vinyl bootleg of this, or there's an official test pressing or acetate or something, probably worth its weight in gold...

Flexible/Just Can't Get Enough (Hot Trax mix)
Dated house music with DM samples.

Nothing (Justin Strauss remix)
Very monotonous beat (a la Kraftwerk) works quite well. In fact the track reminds me very much of a cross between DM and "Electric Cafe"-era Kraftwerk.

People Are People (On-U Sound remix)
This is great. Adrian Sherwood put just the right amount of weird noise in this track to make it much more interesting...

Master And Servant (On-U Sound remix)
whereas this one is much more 'on the edge'. As first I hated it, but It's growing on me. The buzzing and bleeping is annoying but also endearing (in a weird way), but if you didn't like "Are People People?" then you'll probably hate this.
